Call Center & CATI Laboratory

The SRC has a 16-seat telephone call-center, employing Computer Assisted Telephone Interviewing (CATI) technology. We use Sawtooth's WinCATI. The SRC also presently provides investigators access to an Internet-based service for the conduct of Web surveys, using Sawtooth's Sensus package.

We are fortunate to be located at one of the most ethnically diverse UC campuses. It is from this diverse student population that we draw our interviewers. Accordingly, we are able to conduct interviews in a large number of different languages depending upon the client’s needs. Currently, we have interviewers who are fluent in the following languages: English, Spanish, Tagalog, Vietnamese and Japanese. If additional language capabilities are required, it is quite likely that we would be able to locate additional interviewers from the student population of UCR.
